The Greater Pittston Regional Ambulance (GPRA) is the basic and advanced life support provider for a large area of eastern Luzerne County. A community based, 501c3 non-profit organization responds to over 7,500 calls for service each year providing service for an area of 85 square miles.

Our organization is governed by a 7-person, volunteer Board of Directors. Daily administrative and operational needs are addressed with a full-time Chief of Operations and support staff.
We operate out of two stations, one in Pittston City, one in Exeter Borough with a fleet of 8 transport units, 3 EMS squad units, 1 support vehicle and 1 special operations trailer.

Our operations staff brings over 100 years of prehospital experience to the organization. All of which are multi-disciplinary trained above minimum requirements. Many of them hold advanced board certifications in fields that enhance the operations of our program and our organization. They are recognized as leaders in the EMS community locally and some nationally.
